Nominations have opened for the Guardian Public Services Awards 2009. Now in their sixth year, the awards, in partnership with Hays Specialist Recruitment, have become established as the leading celebration of excellence among organisations that commission or provide services.
This year our panel of judges will select 15 award winners who demonstrate outstanding vision and dedication to their sector. The awards celebrate excellence in service delivery and innovation and progress, while the prestigious citizenship and volunteering award is open to employers operating in the private sector as well as those engaged in public services.
The closing date for applications is 17 July 2009. The winners will be announced on 24 November 2009 at an awards ceremony in central London, and will feature in an awards supplement distributed in the Guardian on 25 November 2009.
