The Guardian Climate Change Summit returns for the third year running to address the latest issues and developments that are affecting the way businesses tackle climate change.
This year's summit looks forward to a low-carbon future. It will explore real examples and practical solutions that have already delivered tangible cost savings, improved efficiencies and made a real difference to the impact of business on climate change.
Donna Young of BT, Edward Butt of Reckitt Benckiser and Bill Bartlett of McCain Foods will share how they have already changed their practices to successfully mitigate impact and enhance performance.
Alongside practical case studies, delegates will have the opportunity to explore the broader political and economic landscape with key climate change leaders.
• Yvo de Boer, of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), will discuss potential developments at COP15, the UN Climate Change Conference in December 2009, and examine how those developments could impact how we do business in the UK.
• Ian Pearson, of BERR, the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform, will explore how business will be supported to tackle climate change in a tough economic climate.
• Dimitri Zenghelis, Cisco, will consider the political and economic frameworks that need to be implemented to enable business to genuinely move from awareness to action in tackling climate change.
